We, the Millennial, live in a world of instant messaging and speed dating. Do you want a pizza? 30 minutes and it’s at your doorstep. Do you want a t-shirt? Buy it online from home and it’s delivered to you the next day. Do you want a date? Just swipe right!
We want a job that pays well, provides job satisfaction, has a tolerable boss, motivational peers, offers flexible working hours, allows us to travel, provides bean bags and free food. And we want it all NOW! But what we fail to understand is that job satisfaction is a slow, complex and often a messy process.
While most of us are being miserable and waiting for our ‘Dream Job’. Let’s face the facts. We should be lucky if we have ‘any’ job at all. Now, I am not saying that we should stop eyeing our Dream Job. Life without aspirations is futile. But it is important to appreciate the job in hand and give it our best.

Not landing your Dream job should be seen as an opportunity to start something new. A new beginning to an undiscovered path. There is a plus side to everything we don’t get. The difficult thing however is, to figure out that plus side.
